Wednesday, February 27 - from 12:00 - 12:30 PM PT - Joy's guest is author/Artist RON HEVENER specializes in animals and the romantic, adventurous people who love them. Mr. Hevener owns one of oldest dog show kennels in the U.S. ("Lochranza," specializing in Collies since 1945). His dog "Kane" (Ch. Amberlyn's Bright Tribute) was featured in his popular novel "The Blue Ribbon."

His interest in Arabian horse racing goes back to the early days of Delaware Park, now one of the leading Arabian racetracks in the US. His stallion "Nahgua" (Nugui El Khamsin) was one of the first Arabians to race at Delaware Park and inspired Mr. Hevener's novel, "Fate of the Stallion."

Along with racehorses and show dogs, Mr. Hevener's interest in Greyhounds started with the adoption of a retired racer and led to a full-fledged racing kennel inspiring his novel, "High Stakes." Today, he owns sons and daughters of major Greyhound racing sires from the US, UK, Ireland and Australia.

An accomplished artist who started by selling handmade souvenirs to tourists at farmers' markets, Mr. Hevener's collectible figurines and the prints from his novels are now bought and traded throughout the world. His original paintings and sculptures are sold in galleries, displayed in museums and can be found in many private collections.

Ron Hevener's illustrated animal stories are published regularly in magazines, newsletters, newspapers and on websites around the globe. Mr. Hevener is currently on tour, speaking at bookstores, libraries, theaters, schools, gift stores, pet stores, dog shows, art shows, horse shows and public events. "Your life is a movie, and you write the script," he says. "On With The Show!" To learn more about Ron, please visit www.ronhevener.com

The Quiet Revolution led by Zoe Brooks of Nurtural Horse is now teaming up with Talk With Your Animals. Bitless bridles are gaining credibility among all sectors of the horse set; from the casual pleasure rider to the precision of Grand Prix Dressage riders, horse owners are discovering the difference ‘going Nurtural’ can make. They feel like their horses are calmer and happier to be with them.

Once they see the responsiveness and control that a bitless bridle can offer, and the smile it puts on their horse, most riders become convinced,” says Brooks. “After all, what horse owner wouldn’t want to find a more nurturing and gentle way to work with the horse they love?”

Nurtural Bitless Bridles designed by Zoe Brooks are available in a variety of materials from nylon to premium leather and in sizes from mini to draft. They come in the usual black, brown and tan – and also in red, blue, green, orange and other colors. You can also get custom sizes and special orders. We treat customers like friends! And GREAT NEWS! Nurtural Horse is holding a February sale! To order a bitless bridle, log onto www.Nurturalhorse.com or call toll free 1-877-877-5845
