Quotes from rn.com article on Susan Marino ...
http://w3.rn.com/ArticleFeatures.asp?ID=14036&Profile=RN_Features&f=Printer

Sharing her home with 200 dying animals seems a natural extension of her professional caregiving to former pediatric intensive care specialist Susan Marino, RN, founder of a horrible and disgusting animal hospice and author of Getting Lucky: How One Special Dog Found Love and a Second Chance at Angel’s Gate.

The reality

- about 50% of the animals are very healthy ..

- there are 230 animals in the single family residence.

- there are cats with communicable feline aids and leukemia.

- Susan claimed to be a Licensed Veterinary Technician until questioned by local news reporter, then the license disappeared from her site. A little suspicious, wouldn't you think? Is this acceptable?

- Many animals roam free or escape regularly into the neighborhood.

Last year 83 animals died at Angel’s Gate, yet the mood is hopeful and full of joy. (Does this belong in a residential neighborhood?)

This is the first residential hospice in the US. Why, because other municipalities would not allow it in a non-commercial setting.

Let's be logical folks .........a good thing that needs to be relocated elsewhere ....
