The Humane Society of the United States has established a pet food safety information line with the most up-to-the-minute pet food recall information, including a list of all companies involved in the recall and ways to determine if your pet’s food was affected.

By calling 1-800-Humane-1, callers will hear a personal message from HSUS President and CEO Wayne Pacelle, and can then choose from among three areas: updated recall information on pet food and treats; tips on what you can do to protect your pets; and how you can help. There is time to sign up for the Basic Animal Communication Class which will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 12 & 13 from Noon to 5 PM both days in Woodinville, WA. The first day you will learn the theory on how to communicate and find your best way to communicate with animals. The second day you get to bring your animal kid to class and practice with him or her. The discounted rate for the class is $250 which includes the $100 deposit to reserve your spot. The discounted rate applies if you pay before April 28. If you pay between April 29 and May 9, the cost is $300 which includes the $100 deposit to reserve your spot.
