(Donations are accepted.) Interested in learning about shearing and spinning fiber, how to brew beer, what type of alternative energy you could use or how to manage wildlife on your land? This is the only local event that offers concurrent sessions, each with specialized workshops, to help communicate hands-on, useful information for small acreage landowners, farmers and all interested in rural living skills. There will be six tracks this year, each with four workshops taught by local experts: Wild about Wool and Focused on Fiber!, Renewing Energy on Small Farms, Elements of Rural Living, Useful Approaches for Improving your Small Acreage, Making the Most of Your Woodlands, Cultivating Farm Business Success. Plus, you can browse through over 65 booths showcasing local educators, businesses, organizations and agencies that provide goods and services to area landowners, much like an old-fashioned country fair! This is almost double the number of vendors as last year. Joy will be there facilitating mini-sessions. 5 minutes $15 or 10 minutes $30. New this year - Kid’s Activities! Lunch time horse parade! Evening Barn Dance, hosted by the City of Enumclaw, following the Small Farm Expo.
