In celebration of National Pet Week (May 4-10), the second chapter of IKEA’s “America at Home” short documentary is now available for viewing online at www.ikea.com/ms/en_US/home_campaign/americaathome.html. The chapter, titled “Best Friends,” is a glimpse into the keyhole of Jody Applebaum’s life with her two “best friends” and “home-mates” – award-winning West Highland Terriers Frasier and Niles. Jody cares for her pets like any loving friend – even providing affection by kissing them on the lips! She’s definitely one of the 62% of Americans who consider their pets to be true members of the family (according to the “IKEA America at Home” survey).

The “America at Home” documentary is an 18-minute peek into the lives of seven families that allowed IKEA’s cameras into their homes for a closer look at the way we really live. The vignettes will be released by family at various points throughout the year. The documentary is part of IKEA’s ongoing efforts to celebrate and understand life in the most important place in the world – home.
