Family Furry Friends

Due to death in Vladae's family, Joy's interview with Vladae, The Russian Dog Wizard, has been postponed until Wednesday, August 22. To learn more about Vladae, please visit the website, http://www.911dogwizard.com/.

Joy's guest for tomorrow is MaryLynn Monroe. She runs the Furry Family Friends which began in April 2007 in order to provide pet food to low and no income pet owners. It operates on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month from 3pm-5pm in the Seattle area. However, she accepts donations, both monetary as well as food, at any time. You can contact her from 10am-6pm Monday through Friday at (206)632-2373 or mail a donation made payable to Furry Family Friends at the following address, 4311 Latona Ave. NE, Seattle, WA 98105. A website is currently being developed. She began Furry Family Friends because, as a low-income disabled pet owner, she realized the lack of pet food supply services for people like herself. Our pets are our family and finances should not dictate feeding them. Furry Family Friends tries to step in with food supplies when money does not stretch to feed our furry friends. She emphasizes that without donations, either pet food or money, this company cannot exist. Animal lovers are the backbone of this business.

Welcome Eagle Pack Pet Foods

On Fourth of July, the radio show, Talk With Your Animals will be a rebroadcast of different phone calls from the last 6 months with the sponsors' ad spots. It is a fun show to listen to! Who knows you might hear your call on the air again!

Also, people are lighting off fireworks this week. The noise is very disconcerting for our animal kids. It causes major distress and terror to many animals. Some run away and are lost in panic, jump through windows or need to be tranquilized to get through the night. Please help your animal kids make it through this week with as little stress as possible. Here are some suggestions. Talk to them about what is happening and how long they will last. Stay home with them instead of going out to see the fireworks. Give them flower essences called Thunderstorm or Anxiety & Fear from Pet Essences. Check out the website, www.petessences.com for a store in your area. And above all else, have a Safe and Happy 4th of July!!

Please welcome Eagle Pack Pet Foods as a new sponsor of Talk With Your Animals. Eagle Pack provides a wide variety of holistic kibble and canned foods for your dog, cat, and even your ferret.
